*Depending what state or territory your employees work in, public holidays can be different. Make sure your business knows which days fall on a public holiday and the employee entitlements.
For Queensland they are as follows:
- Wednesday 25 December// Christmas Day
- Thursday 26 December// Boxing Day
- Wednesday 1 January// New Year’s Day
An employee is entitled to public holidays depending on where they are based for work not where they are working on the day of the public holiday.
