Joy brings more than 25 years of recruitment experience to the Classic team. She has a deep understanding and respect for small business and supports clients to elevate their practices.
Joy purchased Classic in 2007. Quality services and fostering meaningful client relationships have seen outputs more than treble and most importantly, Classic has surged as a local leader in its field.
Joy is a passionate and active community member. Together with the Classic team, she is committed to supporting a diverse range of initiatives.
Best known for her nine-year contribution to the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce (2010 -2019), Joy has served as President, Vice President and Director. In addition, Joy has sat on countless community committees. Currently, she sits on the Board of Ability Enterprises. Joy was a founding member of Women on the Move and Toowoomba Says No to Violence. In 2014 Joy was awarded Zonta Woman of the Year.
Joy is a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She is proud of her two sons who are forging successful careers and raising young families.
Lisa is a dynamic and experienced human resources professional. She supports SMEs to leverage the best possible performance from their people, while most importantly, ensuring they have appropriate HR systems, policies and procedures in place.
Lisa has worked in Toowoomba for more than a decade. Her professional experience spans across human resource and management roles, including working for Russell Mineral Equipment and the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Placing a high value on people and culture, Lisa has fostered a reputation in her field for her thorough and caring approach underpinned by “doing the right thing”. Her expertise extends from practical insights to more complex issues and includes mediation and conflict resolution.
Lisa has professional qualifications in human resources management. She is a Certified Australian Human Resource Institute practitioner (CAHRI), an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM) and an Accredited Mediator with the Australian Mediation Association.
Lisa is committed to maintaining a contemporary view of HR and IR developments through continuing professional development. She participates in a range of HR and business forums, in addition to attending industry conferences and events.
Nick has a diverse background in human resources and recruitment spanning more than 10 years. He has experience working across government and corporate sectors, in addition to supporting SMEs as a consultant.
Nick’s broad skill set and in-depth understanding of best practice is complemented by his no-fuss and pragmatic approach to recruitment and HR. Solutions-focused, Nick is experienced at supporting businesses to navigate their HR obligations, value people and culture, and develop robust recruitment practices. Nick is adept at recruiting across a number of different industries – blue-collar through to corporate roles.
In his role at Classic, Nick works across HR, recruitment and labour-hire providing practical and tailored advice to clients. He is experienced at working alongside businesses and agencies of all sizes to develop and implement meaningful and relevant practices and solutions.
Nick has a Bachelor of Business, majoring Human Resource Management and is a member of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI).
SHENOA WUST | LABOUR HIRE & RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT
Shenoa joined the Classic team in May 2021.
A skilled recruitment & HR professional, Shenoa has worked in recruitment since 2018 in both the blue-collar and white-collar sectors. Prior to joining the team at Classic, Shenoa worked in human resources for large employers in both the corporate sector and small to medium enterprises.
Shenoa has an in-depth knowledge of recruitment processes. She ensures she builds strong client relationships by getting to know each of her client’s particular challenges and then solving them! Shenoa prides herself on delivering the best quality level of service. In her role at Classic, she works within both the labour hire and recruitment parts of the business, providing practical, real and customised advice to clients.
Having completed a Diploma of Human Resource Management in 2020, Shenoa is currently completing a Bachelor of Business & Commerce, majoring in Human Resource Management with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).
SARAH WILSON | LABOUR HIRE & RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT
Sarah is the newest addition to the Classic team as of February 2022.
She brings eight+ years of payroll and generalist human resources experience into the mix. Sarah has worked within Human Resources for a range of organisations; small and large private companies, corporate and Not For Profit (NFP) organisations throughout the Toowoomba region.
Sarah has transitioned seamlessly into the Classic team, initially she is focussing on sourcing quality talent, building strong connections, and understanding our client’s challenges.
Sarah is passionate about providing excellent customer service and strives to exceed expectations.
Sarah is currently completing her Diploma of Human Resource Management and is a student member of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI).
CAITLIN HEARNE | RECEPTIONIST & RECRUITMENT ADMINISTRATOR
Caitlin joined the Classic team in August 2021 and is the first point of call for our clients and candidates. This is an extremely busy and diverse role that is critical to the success of the business. Caitlin handles the flow of people through our business supporting each of our busy team. There is never a dull moment for Caitlin in this role!
Having completed her Bachelor of Business & Commerce (HRM/Management & Leadership) in July 2021, Caitlin is developing her HR skills supporting the Classic recruitment systems, coordinating recruitment campaigns, advertising roles socially and also plays an integral role in ensuring the Classic temp workforce payroll is processed accurately and efficiently.
Caitlin has worked in both the retail and events sectors and has a strong commitment to volunteering and fund raising.
Caitlin is very capable, her engaging personality is one of the things we love about her and she is always willing to pitch in – especially to solve the Classic administrative and technical challenges.
