JOY MINGAY | RECRUITMENT DIRECTOR

Joy Mingay

As the owner and operator of Classic Recruitment in Toowoomba, Joy brings more than 25 years of experience in recruitment to the business. With a deep understanding of employment from the ground up, she proudly specialises in employment and human resource management for small business.

Joy purchased Classic Recruitment in 2007 and since then has more than trebled its output by maintaining her commitment to clients and her unfailing attention to detail.

Prior to purchasing Classic Recruitment Joy was Business Development Manager for the University of Southern Queensland for more than eight years. In this role she was responsible for the university’s event management, all commercial sponsorship and the management of the USQ Corporate Club.  Joy’s previous work experience includes a fascinating few years in the Australian Consular Office in Papua New Guinea.

Joy is passionate about her community and opportunities for its growth across many sectors. She has always given a great deal of her time, effort and energy to serving on community committees including:

  • President of the Board of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce (2015-2019)
  • Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards Committee (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015)
  • Carnival of Flowers Young Ambassador Program Working Committee (2011)
  • Zonta Woman of the Year (2014)
  • Founding committee member of Women on the Move
  • Member of the Cobb & Co Museum Development Board (which built the eight million dollar extension)
  • Founding member of the Toowoomba Says No to Violence committee (a QLD Police initiative to address violence in the community).
  • Director of the Board of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce (2010-2012)
  • Vice-President of the Board of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce (2012-2015)

Joy is immensely proud of her two adult sons who were educated at Toowoomba Grammar School. Both are married to gorgeous girls, are forging successful careers and raising their young families in Brisbane.

 


LISA LEE| HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

Lisa Lee Classic Recruitment and HR

Lisa is a dynamic and experienced human resources professional. She supports SMEs to leverage the best possible performance from their people, while most importantly, ensuring they have appropriate HR systems, policies and procedures in place.

Lisa has worked in Toowoomba for more than a decade. Her professional experience spans across human resource and management roles, including working for Russell Mineral Equipment and the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Placing a high value on people and culture, Lisa has fostered a reputation in her field for her thorough and caring approach underpinned by “doing the right thing”. Her expertise extends from practical insights to more complex issues and includes mediation and conflict resolution.

Lisa has professional qualifications in human resources management. She is a Certified Australian Human Resource Institute practitioner (CAHRI), an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM) and an Accredited Mediator with the Australian Mediation Association.

Lisa is committed to maintaining a contemporary view of HR and IR developments through continuing professional development. She participates in a range of HR and business forums, in addition to attending industry conferences and events.

   

 


ZELINA LANGFORD | LABOUR HIRE & RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT

Zelina joined Classic in August 2019. She brings warmth and energy to the team, in addition to an experienced background in human resources.

Helping clients and candidates to find the right fit, Zelina places a high value on communication and consultation. She supports businesses to make informed decisions underpinned by effective and tailored staffing solutions.

Zelina has completed a Certificate IV in Human Resources. She is committed to developing her knowledge of contemporary recruitment and human resource practices.

 

 


GRACE MURRAY| ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Grace joined the Classic team at the beginning of 2019.

A skilled administrative professional, Grace plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations at Classic. From the initial touchpoint process to the timely delivery of services – she supports our clients and candidates every step of the way.

Grace is currently completing a Certificate III in Business – supported by the team at Classic.
