The National Employment Standards are 10 minimum entitlements that apply to all employees in Australia.

The NES covers off on each of these employee entitlements:
- Annual leave
- Personal/carer’s leave and compassionate leave
- Public holidays
- Long service leave
- Community service leave
- Parental leave
- Flexible working arrangements
- Notice of termination and redundancy
- Maximum weekly hours
- Fair work information statement
