Award changes from November, is your business ready?

Is your business up-to-speed with the latest award changes? The new minimum wage changes for Group 2 are due to kick off from the first full pay period on or after 1 November 2020.

So, what exactly does your business need to know?

About the changes

In line with the Fair Work Commission’s announcement in June 2020, there was a 1.75% increase to the minimum wage. Rolling out using a staged approach, Group 1 came into effect from 1 July 2020 and now the increase will apply to Group 2 Awards from the first full pay period on or after 1 November 2020.

Group 2 includes more than 70 awards. This includes the Clerks (Private Sector Award), Gardening and Landscaping Services Award, Horticulture Award, Local Government Industry Award and Meat Industry Award – just to name a few!
